Our team member is a NCTJ-trained journalist with experience of news reporting, proofreading, blogging, social media, editing, sub-editing, interviewing, shorthand and creative writing.
Having written for various local and national publications, including the Evening Times, Glasgow Herald, s1 and the Paisley Daily Express, she is accomplished in both print and online media. She is also a talented feature writer, having written for Your Cat Magazine and online review site, Flicker.
Having worked in busy newsrooms she has experience of creating and editing quality content for the web. She can write accurate, attention-grabbing headlines and picture captions, all adhering to SEO guidelines, and possesses strong language and grammar skills.
With an NCTJ in Scots law, she is trained in topics such as defamation, court reporting, copyright, invasion of privacy, contempt of court and the PCC Code.
Skilled in digital content creation and social media, having helped devise and co-edit an online campaign site during the Scottish Independence Referendum. She also monitored the site’s Twitter feed.
Now operating freelance with Spartacus, she proofreads manuscripts for a leading UK digital publisher and blogs about arts and crafts. She is currently working on her first novel, and is writing and illustrating a children’s book about cats.
